1) What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using GuardianGo. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

2) Information we collect

  • Account info: email, name (if provided), and basic profile data.
  • Family & roles: family/group ID and role (owner/manager/supervisor/user).
  • Location data: approximate or precise location (depending on your permission settings) to power alerts and maps.
  • Places & routines: places you create (home/school/work) and schedules you set.
  • Device data: push token (FCM/APNs), OS version, and app diagnostics for reliability.

3) How we use the information

  • Provide real-time safety alerts (arrived/left, routine alerts, long delays, “no signal”).
  • Show the last known location of family members in the app (when enabled).
  • Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
  • Manage subscriptions and entitlement status (trial/premium).

4) Location permissions

GuardianGo may request location permissions. On iOS/Android, “Allow Always” may be required for background tracking features. You can change permissions at any time in your device settings.

If you choose “While Using the App”, some alerts may be delayed or unavailable when the app is not active.

5) Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your information may be shared only:

  • With your family group members, inside the app, according to roles and settings.
  • With service providers necessary to run the app (e.g., Firebase for authentication, database, and notifications).
  • If required by law, legal process, or to protect safety and integrity.

6) Data retention

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data (see “Delete account”).

7) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect data (access controls, encryption in transit, and secure infrastructure). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8) Children

GuardianGo is intended to be used by families/tutors. Adults should set up the service and manage permissions. If you believe a child has provided data without appropriate consent, contact us.

9) Your choices

  • Change location permissions in device settings.
  • Disable tracking inside the app (if allowed by role/policy).
  • Request account deletion via the “Delete account” page/form.

10) Contact
